From eff9dfed85bedd48780a8d33cf79a37ba2b48660 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "google-labs-jules[bot]" <161369871+google-labs-jules[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Tue, 6 Jan 2026 18:38:21 +0000 Subject: [PATCH] Fix watch history sync for logged-in users without NIP-04 permissions. Updates `shouldUseExtensionForHistory` in `js/watchHistoryService.js` to check for `signEvent` instead of `nip04.decrypt`. This ensures that logged-in users can sync their watch history (which is now plaintext) even if they haven't granted the legacy encryption permission. --- js/watchHistoryService.js | 4 ++-- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) diff --git a/js/watchHistoryService.js b/js/watchHistoryService.js index 821da68d..e8f1a1ed 100644 --- a/js/watchHistoryService.js +++ b/js/watchHistoryService.js @@ -108,11 +108,11 @@ function shouldUseExtensionForHistory(actorKey) { } const extension = window.nostr; - if (!extension || !extension.nip04) { + if (!extension) { return false; } - return typeof extension.nip04.decrypt === "function"; + return typeof extension.signEvent === "function"; } async function ensureWatchHistoryExtensionPermissions(actorKey) {
