# Context: NIP-42 Research
**Agent:** nip-research-agent
**Date:** 2026-02-21
**Goal:** Research NIP-42 (Relay Authentication) compliance and update the NIP Inventory.
## Scope
- Fetch NIP-42 specification.
- Analyze `js/nostr/client.js` and other files for implementation of `AUTH` command.
- Update `NIP_INVENTORY.md` with findings.
- Generate daily report.
## Definition of Done
- `artifacts/nips/42.md` exists.
- `NIP_INVENTORY.md` updated with NIP-42 status.
- `nip-report-2026-02-21.md` created.
