- Rewrote `src/lock-publisher.mjs` to ensure clean imports and no duplicate declarations of `withTimeout`.

Refactor test/install_dir_validation.test.mjs to use unique temporary directories for each subtest, eliminating shared state and race conditions that caused flakiness.
