[decompose] extract helpers from js/ui/components/VideoModal.js

Decomposed js/ui/components/VideoModal.js by extracting "Similar Video" and "Pointer Key" logic into a new helper module js/ui/components/VideoModalSimilarHelpers.js.

- Reduced VideoModal.js line count from 6334 to 6045.
- Added comprehensive unit tests for extracted helpers.
- Updated check-file-size.mjs baseline.

# Decompose Agent Context
## Target File
`js/ui/components/VideoModal.js` (approx 6334 lines).
## Rationale
This is the second largest file in the codebase. The largest (`profileModalController.js`) was recently refactored with a facade pattern. `VideoModal.js` was touched recently but likely only for minor updates or formatting, and contains distinct blocks of logic suitable for extraction.
## Plan
Extract "Similar Video" related logic into a helper module.

# Decisions Log - Decompose Agent
## Changes
Extracted "Similar Video" and pointer derivation logic from \`js/ui/components/VideoModal.js\` into a new module \`js/ui/components/VideoModalSimilarHelpers.js\`.
## Rationale
- \`js/ui/components/VideoModal.js\` was the second largest file (6334 lines).
- Similar Video logic formed cohesive blocks with clear dependencies.
- Pointer derivation was a helper function reused internally.
## Implementation Details
- Created \`js/ui/components/VideoModalSimilarHelpers.js\` containing:
- \`derivePointerKeyFromInput\`
- \`buildSimilarCardIdentity\`
- \`prepareSimilarVideoCard\`
- \`attachSimilarCardViewCounter\`
- \`getViewCountLabel\`
- \`formatViewCountLabel\`
- Updated \`js/ui/components/VideoModal.js\` to import these functions and pass dependencies (\`this.helpers\`, \`this.DEFAULT_PROFILE_AVATAR\`, \`this.dispatch\`, \`this.log\`).
- Updated \`scripts/check-file-size.mjs\` baseline for \`VideoModal.js\` to 6045 lines.
## Next Steps
- Further decomposition of \`VideoModal.js\` (e.g. More Menu logic) in future runs.

# Decompose Agent Run
**Status**: Completed
**Agent**: decompose-agent
**Date**: 2026-02-14
## Summary
Decomposed `js/ui/components/VideoModal.js` by extracting "Similar Video" and "Pointer Key" logic into a new helper module `js/ui/components/VideoModalModalSimilarHelpers.js`.
## Outcome
- Reduced `js/ui/components/VideoModal.js` line count from 6334 to 6045 lines (-289 lines).
- Created `tests/ui/components/VideoModalSimilarHelpers.test.mjs` with comprehensive unit tests for the extracted logic.
- Updated baseline in `scripts/check-file-size.mjs`.
## Verification
- `npm run lint`: Passed.
- `npm run test:unit`: Passed (including new tests).
- `scripts/check-file-size.mjs --report`: Verified reduction.
## Artifacts

Target file: `js/ui/components/VideoModalSimilarHelpers.js`
### Functions to Extract
1. `buildSimilarCardIdentity(video, overrides, { helpers, defaultAvatar })`
- Originally `buildSimilarCardIdentity`
- Depends on `this.helpers` and `this.DEFAULT_PROFILE_AVATAR`.
- Action: Refactor to accept these as arguments.
2. `derivePointerKeyFromInput(pointer)`
- Used by similar video logic (and others?).
- Seems pure (no `this` dependency except maybe internal calls?).
- Checked code: `derivePointerKeyFromInput` calls `this.derivePointerKeyFromInput` recursively. It is pure.
3. `prepareSimilarVideoCard(card, meta, index, { dispatchCallback })`
- Originally `prepareSimilarVideoCard`.
- Uses `this.dispatch`.
- Action: Pass a dispatch callback.
4. `attachSimilarCardViewCounter(card, pointerInfo, { subscribeToVideoViewCount, formatViewCount, logger })`
- Originally `attachSimilarCardViewCounter`.
- Uses `subscribeToVideoViewCount` (global import?), `this.getViewCountLabel`, `this.formatViewCountLabel`, `this.log`.
- Action: Extract view count formatting logic too, or pass dependencies.
## Goal
Reduce `VideoModal.js` size by extracting these substantial methods.
