Fold July-2026 short-form UX research into docs/shorts-plan.md: - Immersive one-at-a-time 9:16 feed (grid = entry point), muted autoplay + loop, preload next 2-3 (no spinner between shorts), overlaid action rail (Zap/Comment/Share/follow — zaps as the bitvid differentiator), captions when present, prefers-reduced-motion. - Mobile: full-screen + swipe up/down. - Desktop: centered letterboxed player (never stretch 9:16) + NATIVE keyboard nav (up/down prev/next, Space, M, Esc) + side action rail — YouTube Shorts' desktop keyboard-nav gap is an opportunity to do it right. - Phase 2 reframed as the responsive immersive feed; sources cited.
